I can tell you about how I first picked up a camera in the 1st grade and how much I love photography. But, my story will be similar to many other photographers out there.
What I want to share with you are my other passions in life!
Thrift/flea market shopping is a guilty pleasure and I tend to do this on “me time.” I love finding design treasures and envisioning them in a photo shoot or in my home.
If my eyes pinpoint eye candy, my taste buds love foodie spots. The Bay Area opened up my palette to Thai food, Indian food, gourmet burgers and all things deliciously sweet (Tucker’s, Fentons, Cupkates, The Candy Store – to name a few favorites). So, don’t be surprised if I shoot your food at your wedding! The meal brings just as much ambiance as the venue itself.
I support Jamie Oliver and the Food Revolution! I am so intrigued by his mission. Diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure run in my family. They are also rampant diseases in this day and age. Jamie works with schools, parents and kids, helping them understand what they are eating. I’m glad he is educating people because a healthy lifestyle can taste good, too.
I freecycle, recycle and reuse whenever I can. Ever since curbside recycling started in my hometown of San Diego (back in the 1980s), I have been recycling everything and anything. I don’t like to waste good things either so I donate, freecycle or sell my unused stuff. I believe “someone’s trash is someone else’s treasure.”
Freecycle is also a great resource to look into for DIY wedding project supplies and free moving boxes for when you move into your new home.
I welcome all wedding, event and portrait session requests. View my website and blog to see samples of my work. For more information, email info@realcephoto.com or call 510-435-3461.
