Lauryn was photographed at Seaport Village, a cute shopping center near downtown San Diego. I haven’t been there in years! I used to work at the cookie shop formerly known as Paradise Bakery. It was nice walking around, taking pictures and hanging out with Lauryn and her parents.
Lauryn’s mom is my oldest friend, Allyson. She and I met when we were just about Lauryn’s age. And for those of you who know Allyson, her daughter is practically a carbon copy of her! Too cute!

Baby Angelo’s big sister, Camille, waited a long time to have a sibling to love and play with. Her father was about to take her to the waiting room when she said, “I want to wait for my brother.”
She was so anxious she stood at her mother’s side, bravely enduring Angelo’s natural birth. “She didn’t even flinch!” exclaimed her mom.

The Velasco Family recently moved back to the San Francisco Bay Area to open up a new dessert shop, Filipino Desserts Plus in Milpitas, California. To announce their move and a new chapter in their lives, we took holiday family pictures at the iconic Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.
My nephew had his first haircut on his first birthday. He really didn’t like sitting or standing. His mom carried him through it as his daddy and godfather snipped away the first lock of hair.
My first nephew arrived on April 28, 2008! I flew down to Southern California to be there on his first morning.
My mom shed a few tears. She wanted a grandchild so much! My papa was all smiles. My sister-in-law was doing well but was a bit camera shy. My brother kept studying every little detail of Nathan’s face. My brother’s father and mother-in-law were so excited, too. We were all so happy to meet him. Boy, does he have LOTS of hair!
