Lauryn was photographed at Seaport Village, a cute shopping center near downtown San Diego. I haven’t been there in years! I used to work at the cookie shop formerly known as Paradise Bakery. It was nice walking around, taking pictures and hanging out with Lauryn and her parents.

Lauryn’s mom is my oldest friend, Allyson. She and I met when we were just about Lauryn’s age. And for those of you who know Allyson, her daughter is practically a carbon copy of her! Too cute!

Braedon and Lindsey must have imagined this scenic location because they totally dressed up to coordinate with it! The colors were simply gorgeous on this warm summer day in Carlsbad, a city located in Northern San Diego County.

Day 3 was the last day of the Film is Not Dead workshop. The sun came out and we were challenged with it. Normally open shade is our very dear friend but without much shade around, we faced the lighting at hand to photograph this lovely married couple.

These couple portraits were shot with Fuji Pro 400H on my Minolta Maxxum 500si with a 50mm f1.8 lens. This camera was the first Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera I owned. Before shooting with a DSLR, this was my main camera. It hasn’t been used much the past few years so it was nice shooting with it again.
